Bailiffs

Bailiffs are a tool of the court. They can only be sent once an account has been to court. If someone is telling you they are going to send a bailiff it’s probably not true. There is a lot of “Urban Myth” about what bailiffs can and can’t do, most of it is not correct so don’t panic.

If a Bailiff arrives do not let them into your house no matter what they say. Simply ask them to take the debt back to the court and this will give you time to arrange repayment.

Bailiffs can usually be controlled and Debtaid can help get the situation settled down. Just give us a call to get advice on 08000 722 332.
