County Court Judgements (CCJ's)

County Court Judgements or CCJs are issued through the county court when an outstanding debt has been ordered to be paid. This is usually requested as monthly instalments and will appear on your credit rating.

If you get court paperwork don’t panic. A lot of people fear the courts but remember that a court is there to be fair to both sides. It will be on your side as much as the lender’s.

The forms are sometimes complicated but if you fill them in, or get some advice on hold to fill them in, the court will only ask you to pay what you can afford. Once the court makes the judgement both parties have to stick to it and it often stops the arguments about how much you should be paying.

Debtaid can help with the forms and with making repayments plans in the same way a court would.
