An alternative to Bankrupty, Individual Voluntary Arrangements or IVA's are a different form of controlling your debt. Debtaid do not recommend them but they should be looked at as a solution.

Individual Voluntary Arrangements can suit some people better than others, depending on your circumstances, but they do tie you into a repayment period and repayments can be difficult to change.
